Regretfully we announce the passing of Mr. Brad Kormann, our beloved, long-time friend, Committee Chairman, and Assistant Scoutmaster, April 29, 2005, peacefully at home with his family.  Brad had been wrestling with skin cancer for the past year.  Brad was active with the Troop until very recently, having attended the April 16 Little Bennett campout and the April 19 Court of Honor.  Affiliated with the Troop since he was a Scout, Brad is known as a great friend to all, young and old.  A memorial service was held at the Chevy Chase United Methodist Church on Saturday May 7.  The church was filled, literally, to overflowing, with over 600 in attendance.  Troop 255 Scouts served as Color Guard and ushers.  There were large contingents from Brad’s many other endeavors: U. S. Military Academy Class of 1975, comrades from his 32 years of Army service, Library of Congress, softball team, and many others.  Let us all keep the Kormann family in our thoughts and prayers.  A few of our many fond memories of adventures with Brad are captured in the photographs of recent events (Click on Photos in left column of home page) and the Salute from the Troop: Salute to Mr. Kormann
